PCC’s Ted Brennan takes Junior-Junior Championship medal
WEST CHESTER, Pa.– Ted Brennan of Philadelphia Country Club fired a 2-over-par 37 to take the qualifying medal in the Golf Association of Philadelphia’s 57th Junior-Junior Boys’ Championship Monday at West Chester G&CC (par 35, 2,707 yards) for players 13 and under.

Brennan, 12, played steady golf, carding seven pars and two bogeys, to best Tucker Koch, 13, of RiverCrest GC & Preserve and Zach Dilcher, 11, of Inniscrone GC by a stroke. Garrett Conway, 13, of Burlington CC, was fourth with 39.
The low eight players qualified for the Championship Flight in the field of 29 competitors.
Nine-hole match play in four flights begins Tuesday morning, with 18-hole match play in flight finals scheduled for Wednesday.
"I played very well today," Brennan said. "My short game was very strong."
He putted well, with 16 putts for 9 holes. Brennan, of Newtown Square, Pa., who plays to a 13.9 handicap, attends the Rosemont School of the Holy Child, where he will be in the seventh grade in September.
