The Senior Challenge Matches are annual matches pitting the Golf Association of Philadelphia and the state associations of Delaware, Maryland and New Jersey against each other in a stroke play competition. Eight-man teams from each association participate with the top six scores from each association counting toward its final total.

  The Golf Association of Philadelphia has won the title eight times, most recently in 2000 at Llanerch CC. GAP will hosts the matches again this year at The ACE Club.

Scott posted an even-par 71 to take a one-shot lead after Day One, before recording a 3-over-par 74 on the second day for a one-shot victory over close friend and club mate David Brookreson. Both days featured breezy conditions on a difficult golf course.
