GAP TV now on YouTubeTM

  In an effort to further promote the Golf Association of Philadelphia and its Web site to a broader audience, the Association has uploaded its major championship videos and year-in-review highlight video to the popular Web site, www.youtube.com.

  YouTube is a video-sharing Web site where users can upload, view and share video clips. The San Bruno, Calif.- based service uses Adobe Flash technology to display a wide variety of video content, including movie clips, TV clips and music videos, as well as amateur content such as videoblogging and short original videos.

  Unregistered users can watch most videos on the site, while registered users are permitted to upload an unlimited number of videos.

  To view the Association’s videos, visit www.youtube.com and enter a search for Golf Association of Philadelphia or simply click here.

  The videos can also be viewed on Apple’s iPhone by selecting the YouTube icon on the main screen and typing in Golf Association of Philadelphia in the search field.

  Founded in 1897, the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) is the oldest regional golf association in the United States and serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. Its 135 Member Clubs and 60,000 individual members are spread across parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. The purpose of the Association is simple: To promote, protect and preserve the game of golf in the region.
