Golf Association of Philadelphia announces new E-revision scheduleThe active golf season may be over for the Delaware Valley, but for the traveling member of the Golf Association of Philadelphia, it’s just the beginning.
“We have a great deal of individual members who are traveling golfers,” said Mark Peterson, Executive Director of the Golf Association of Philadelphia. “Rather than having to wait for an updated Handicap Index when the season opens back up in April, the monthly off-season revision gives our members the most accurate handicap information available during our off-season.” Also of note, the Association has increased the number of in-season revisions from 14 in 2007 up to 16 in 2008. That increase, combined with the four off-season revisions, brings the total number of handicap revisions to 20 for the year. And as always, be sure to check your email for the Golf Association of Philadelphia’s E-revision with your Handicap Index, 20-score history and up-to-date Golf Association of Philadelphia news. Founded in 1897, the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) is the oldest regional golf association in the United States and serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. Its 135 Member Clubs and 60,000 individual members are spread across parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. The purpose of the Association is simple: To promote, protect and preserve the game of golf in the region. |
