Robertson, Culp duo nab 22nd Hussey
SPRINGFIELD, Pa.– Robert Robertson of Sunnybrook GC and fellow high school teammate Chip Culp of Philadelphia Cricket Club, edged out defending champions Robert Galbreath, Jr., the 2007 Junior Boys' Champion, and Eric Chipin of Philmont CC, to take home the 22nd Francis X. Hussey Memorial Championship by a stroke.

Robertson and Culp, co-captains of the Chestnut Hill Academy golf team, fired a 5-under-par 66 Monday at a brisk Rolling Green GC (par 71, 6,267 yards) swapping last year’s Hussey scores with defending champions Galbreath and Chipin who shot a 4-under-par 67.
"We played pretty well," said Culp, who turns 18 years of age on Tuesday. "We had one bogey, which was frustrating, but we made some good par saves."
Added Robertson, the 2007 Junior Boys' runner-up, "We just knew if we got it on the green, with two of us looking at birdie, we would most likely make one since the greens were rolling true."

The soon-to-be high school seniors carded six birdies including a clutch 40-foot birdie putt by Robertson from the back, left corner of the green on the tricky No. 14 (par 3, 192 yards).
"If I didn’t make that, I think it was going off the green," said Robertson, 17, of Philadelphia. "It was big."
"That was huge for us coming off the bogey [on No. 13 (par 4, 395 yards)]," said Culp of his partner’s lengthy, right-to-left breaking putt.
"I think I aimed seven feet right of the cup on that putt," said Robertson, who admitted to riding the momentum off of his second place finish at the Junior Boys' last Thursday. "I felt pretty good and had my putter going today."
Last week’s Junior Boys’ Championship saw Galbreath defeat Robertson on the 18th hole, 1-up, at Cavaliers CC for his third Junior Boys' title.
"We had our ups and downs and just fell short by one stroke today," Galbreath said.
Junior-Junior Division (13-and-under)
Zachary Dilcher of Hartefeld and Drew Calamaro of Rolling Green GC fired a 3-under-par 33 (par 36, 3,281 yards) to capture the Junior-Junior Division of the Francis X. Hussey Memorial Tournament by six strokes.
The Junior-Junior Division competes over nine holes. This year the front nine was used for the event. The nine-hole sides are alternated every year.
Dilcher and Calamaro carded three birdies en route to the only sub-par round in the Junior-Junior Division.

A total of 54 teams competed in the Hussey, named in honor of the former Rolling Green GC junior member.
Francis suffered with congenital heart disease and passed away in December of 1983 while undergoing major heart surgery. He was 13 years old when he died. Francis was a student in the Haverford Township School system, an avid sports fan and an active junior member at Rolling Green. His courage in the face of his illness was a great inspiration to all who knew him.
Founded in 1897, the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) is the oldest regional golf association in the United States and serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. Its 135 Member Clubs and 60,000 individual members are spread across parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. The purpose of the Association is simple: To promote, protect and preserve the game of golf in the region.
