Presidents' Council set for Waynesborough CC
The 2008 Presidents' Council is set for March 25 at Waynesborough Country Club.
The fee for the day is $75 per person and includes seminars and lunch.
Topics and Speakers follow:
- Membership Marketing and Strategic Planning. Frank Vain, President of the McMahon Group, Inc., a specialty consulting firm from St. Louis, Mo., that has served more than 1,100 private clubs worldwide. Mr. Vain will speak about strategic planning, membership marketing for retention and backfill, as well as the critical issues involved with attracting new members.
- Reform or Enforcement? The Immigration Debate. Susan Wegrzyn, President and CEO of the National Club Association, will speak on immigration reform as it continues to be hotly debated in Congress and around the country. The presentation will focus on H-2B issues and planning for future changes in employment legislation.
- Green Speed: The Relationship between Green Speed and Healthy Turf. Darin Bevard, Senior Agronomist for the USGA Green Section, will offer potential methods to maintain reasonable green speeds without jeopardizing the health of the turf. Well-paced greens and healthy turf can coexist, but there are limits.
