Handicap score posting for Philadelphia region ends on Oct. 31As we enter the offseason, remember that the posting of scores from courses in the Philadelphia region ends on Saturday, Oct. 31. After that date, only scores from areas with year-round active seasons are eligible to be posted to your handicap record. The Golf Association of Philadelphia will resume active score posting at the start of our next season, April 1, 2010.States that observe year-round active posting include Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia. A round played in one of those states is eligible for posting to a player’s handicap record, no matter the date of play. For the third year in a row, the Golf Association of Philadelphia will be revising handicaps four times during the offseason, to incorporate any scores posted from other areas. The dates for these revisions are Dec. 1, Jan. 1, Feb. 1 and March 1.
