Golf Association of Philadelphia announces Rules SeminarIn a continuing effort to improve the Delaware Valley's knowledge on the Rules of Golf, the Golf Association of Philadelphia proudly announces its 2010 Rules of Golf Seminar.The seminar, which will focus on The Rules of Golf, definitions and a review of the Decisions on The Rules of Golf, is set for March 6 at Philadelphia Country Club. Genger Fahleson, the USGA's Director of Rules Education, will instruct the day-long seminar. Cost is $65 and is open to the first 100 respondents. The seminar will run from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Registration is available under the Rules Seminar tab of the Web site. Founded in 1897, the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) is the oldest regional golf association in the United States and serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. Its 133 Member Clubs and 56,000 individual members are spread across parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. The purpose of the Association is simple: To promote, protect and preserve the game of golf in the region.
