Complete GTM schedule availableSchedules for the top three divisions of the 2011 GAP Team Matches, AA, A and B, are set.In Division AA, defending champion Huntingdon Valley Country Club 1 remains atop Section I in search of its record 33rd GAP Team Matches plaque. The road to back-to-back glory will not be easy, though. Standing in HVCC’s immediate way is Commonwealth National Golf Club 1. CNGC 1 won the GTM title in 2007 and 2009. Hartefeld National 1 and Fox Hill Country Club 1 round out the section. The other three GAP Team Match Playoff participants, Mercer Oaks Golf Course 1, Glenmaura National Golf Club 1 and Merion Golf Club 1 headline Sections 2-4, respectively. The always formidable Overbrook Golf Club 1 landed in Section 2 as did Moselem Springs Golf Club 1 and Little Mill Country Club 1. Tavistock Country Club 1, who won GTM titles in 2004-06 and 2008, is in Section 3 along with Yardley Country Club 1, a five-time champion, and RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve. Philadelphia Cricket Club 1, a founding member club who is still in search of its first-ever Team title, joins other GAP originator Merion Golf Club 1, Llanerch Country Club 1 and Laurel Creek Country Club 1 in Section 4 Teams compete in a four-team sectional round-robin format (which equates to three matches). A total of 12 players per team compete with six players staying home and six traveling to the opponent’s club. The GAP Team Matches are scheduled for April 10, 17 and May 1. The Championship Playoff and Challenges is set for Saturday, May 7. New to Division AA for 2010 are Fox Hill Country Club 1; Laurel Creek Country Club 1; Little Mill Country Club 1 and RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve 1. The remainder of the GAP Team Matches schedule will be available in mid-February.
