PGA defeats GAP in Philadelphia Challenge Matches at ApplebrookThe Golf Association of Philadelphia couldn’t overtake the Philadelphia Section PGA in the 21st Philadelphia Challenge Matches. It suffered a 11.5-6.5 defeat Thursday at Applebrook GC. The Philadelphia Section PGA now leads the series 16-1-4. Last year, both organizations battled to a 9-9 tie at LedgeRock GC. Representing the Golf Association of Philadelphia at Applebrook were Peter Barron, III of Stone Harbor GC, Michael Brown of Lookaway GC, Robert Galbreath, Jr. of Huntingdon Valley CC, Michael Hyland of Little Mill CC, Scott McLaughlin of Commonwealth National GC, Scott McNeil of Philadelphia Publinks GA, Mike Meisenzahl of Little Mill CC, Michael Quinn of Edgmont CC, Craig Scott of Huntingdon Valley CC, Stephen Seiden of Llanerch CC, Jamie Slonis of Tavistock CC and Glenn Smeraglio of Mercer Oaks GC.
