GAP is the oldest state or regional golf association in the country. It started courtesy of a friendly competition – the Team Matches – and has grown into the preeminent golf association in the country. Along the way, golf history has been made.


Golf Association of Philadelphia announces new 2011 revision schedule

  The Golf Association of Philadelphia has switched to a new revision schedule for the 2011 season.

  To get a head start on the mandatory national revision schedule, which the United States Golf Association is implementing in 2012, the GAP will be using that schedule starting with the 2011 season.

  From now on, revisions will be held on the 1st and 15th of EACH month, including the offseason, no matter what day of the week those revisions may fall.

  Transmission dates for clubs will still be the day prior to the revision.

  Other regional and state associations in this part of the country are also moving to this schedule for 2011, including the New Jersey State Golf Association, the Metropolitan Golf Association, the Delaware State Golf Association and the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association, among others.

  Golf Association of Philadelphia Member Clubs should take note of the new revision schedule when publishing effective revision dates for their club events.
