Winter Series dates, venues announced for 2011 fall editionThe Golf Association of Philadelphia unveiled its 2011 Winter Series fall schedule. Launched in 2008, the Winter Series offers all players of any skill level an opportunity to compete in tournament golf during the normally quiet, off-season months. Dates and venues are as follows (weather permitting):
• Oct. 26, Plymouth CC, Individual Gross and Net Stableford, 10 a.m. shotgun Cost is $35 per person per event. Each event presents a maximum field size of 100. Entrants are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each event will be open to all Golf Association of Philadelphia Amateur Members ages 18 years of age and older, Philadelphia Section of PGA Members and Golf Professionals at Member Clubs. Entries for all four events will be available only on the Association's Web site, www.gapgolf.org, starting on Monday, Sept. 12.
