A Walk Through Time

GAP is the oldest state or regional golf association in the country. It started courtesy of a friendly competition – the Team Matches – and has grown into the preeminent golf association in the country. Along the way, golf history has been made.

Association, Global Golf Post join forces

  As an added benefit, Golf Association of Philadelphia members can receive a complimentary subscription to Global Golf Post, the first designed for digital weekly golf news publication in the world.

  Each edition will feature national golf coverage as well as local news presented by local writers such as Joe Logan, editor of myphillygolf.com. Content is intended to focus on amateur golf throughout the Philadelphia region and GAP news.

  Members can sign up for Global Golf Post through My GAP Locker. Each edition is electronically distributed overnight Sunday, 50 weeks per year to a global audience of passionate golfers. Members currently on the GAP e-mail list will receive Global Golf Post automatically. Furthermore, Global Golf Post subscribers can opt out at anytime.

  Through its partnership with Global Golf Post, the Golf Association of Philadelphia aims to provide more golf information to its membership.

Founded in 1897, the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) is the oldest regional or state golf association in the United States. It serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. The Association’s 200 Full Member Clubs and 70,000 individual members are spread across Eastern Pennsylvania and parts of New Jersey and Delaware. As Philadelphia’s Most Trusted Source of Golf Information, the Golf Association of Philadelphia’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
