Presidents' Council registration opens Feb. 28

  The 8th annual Presidents' Council seminar and luncheon is set for 8 a.m. on March 28 at Waynesborough Country Club. The highly successful annual event is intended to educate key personnel from Member Clubs on issues of vital importance to all Member Clubs. The Association has secured nationally renowned speakers to touch on the important issues facing the golf industry today.

  • “Benchmarking. What is it? Are you using the correct metric to map the future of your facility?â€
      This question will be explored by James B. Singerling, CEO of the Club Managers Association of America. In his 21 years with CMAA Singerling has helped guide the Association to the forefront of the hospitality industry. The CMAA Business Management Institute has grown from three annual programs to 33 on seven campuses. Singerling has been a CMAA member for over 30 years and has enjoyed a 40-year career in the hospitality industry.

  • “Design and Planning Insights for the Club of the Futureâ€
      Chambers USA is headquartered in Baltimore and for the past 65 years has been specializing in the private club industry. Recipient of the Best New Clubhouse award for 2010 by Golf Inc. magazine.
      Rick Snellinger, President and CEO of Chambers USA, is Principal-in-Charge for all planning assignments and works daily with Boards, Long Range Planning Committees and ultimately the Membership in developing creative, comprehensive, fiscally conservative Strategic Facilities Master Plans, with a track record of 98% of programs being accepted by Membership. Rick speaks to a wide national audience on the trends within the private club industry and is the driving force of Club ’22: The Club of the Future based on national research and trends for private country, city and golf clubs.

  • “Social Media for the Private Club: What It Is and How to use itâ€
      A primer from Scot Duke, CEO and President of Innovative Business Golf Solutions, LLC. based in Addison, TX. His career spans over thirty-nine years of operations management and entrepreneurial endeavors. He has authored the book, How to Play Business Golf and is the co-author of the soon-to-be-released, Essentials of Business Golf. He is the Director of Social Media for eGolfGroup based in Sedona, AZ; Founder of the Business Golf Country Club, an online social network for business golfers; founder of the ClamBake Cafe, a business network for business golfers; founder of the Screen Door Open Charity Golf, Inc., a non-profit organization that manages an officially sanctioned PGA Pro-AM Charity Tournament; and is the creator of the Mr. Business Golf blog site.

  All Golf Association of Philadelphia Member Club Presidents, Club Managers, Superintendents and Club Officials are invited to attend. The registration fee is $75 per person and includes lunch.
