Team GAP finishes fourth in 49th Williamson Cup at Fieldstone

  GREENVILLE, Del. — The Golf Association of Philadelphia placed fourth in the 49th Williamson Cup at Fieldstone Golf Club. Its team, which included Cole Berman of Philadelphia Cricket Club, Jalen Griffin of Talamore Country Club, Kevin Kramarski of Riverton Country Club and Mariano Medico of Fox Hill Country Club, posted a 439-total in the 36-hole event. The Metropolitan Golf Association won its second straight Williamson Cup with a score of 414.

  Griffin, the 2012 Christman Cup Champion, led the GAP team. He carded rounds of 68 and 72 to finish tied for second individually at 2 under.

  The Williamson Cup is regarded as one of the most prominent junior events in the country. It is a 36-hole stroke play tournament that features competition among four-man teams from 11 state and regional golf associations.
