Marston Cup rescheduled for Sept. 19The 9th Marston Cup will take place Thursday, Sept. 19 at Spring Ford Country Club in Royersford, Pa. Severe weather forced Golf Association of Philadelphia officials to cancel play Aug. 22. Players were notified of the rescheduled date, as well as the Association's refund policy, via e-mail. A torrential thunderstorm caused play to be suspended at 11:01 a.m. Players returned to the golf course at 1 p.m., only to be called off an hour later due to lightning in the area.
