Member Play Day entry process changes to lotteryA high demand in entries for Member Play Days has required the Golf Association of Philadelphia to modify its sign-up process. Beginning with the Member Play Day at Philadelphia Country Club, the Association will adopt a lottery system to determine the participants. If selected, individuals will be notified via email to secure his or her position(s) with payment via the My GAP Locker member portal. Each selected participant will have 48 hours to claim his or her spot(s).The Association believes this will alleviate some recent GAP Member Play Day registration difficulties. A GAP Member Play participant may request positions for up to four people. This will allow groups of friends the opportunity to enjoy some wonderful golf courses together. So grab a few of your golf buddies and enter for a chance to play in the next GAP Member Play Day. The lottery system for the four remaining GAP Member Play Days opens June 26. Below is the remaining schedule with closing lottery dates. The lottery will be conducted the day after closing and participants will be notified immediately thereafter. Upon being selected, a registrant must submit the names of participating GAP members with valid GHIN numbers. GAP Member Play Days are open to all amateur (male/female/juniors over the age of 14) Golf Association of Philadelphia Individual Members with a valid GAP/USGA Handicap. The purpose of a GAP Member Play Day is to give any Individual Member of the Association a chance to play more golf in 2013. Each participant will have an opportunity to play in an event that will award prizes in various flights. The event will be conducted using the net Stableford scoring system, which awards points relative to par. The great thing about the Stableford system is once you have met your net limit, you can pick up, so there is no need to grind it out on every hole. We hope you enjoy the improved entry process and look forward to seeing you on the links. View GAP Member Play schedule.
