Rules of Golf seminar set for March 2 at Waynesborough

  The Golf Association of Philadelphia will conduct a Rules of Golf seminar on Saturday, March 2 at Waynesborough Country Club from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lew Blakey, a USGA volunteer and former executive committee member, is the event’s featured instructor.

  The purpose of the seminar is to educate GAP members on the Rules of Golf. Cost is $65. Click here to register.

  Blakey, of Alexandria, Va., has served as an instructor at PGA/USGA Rules of Golf Workshops since 2001. He started as consulting member on the USGA’s Rules of Golf Committee in 1999 and joined its Executive Committee in 2001. Blakey was one of the USGA representatives who worked with the R&A at the quadrennial Joint Rules Conference in 2003, which approved changes to the Rules and Decisions for 2004.
