The Golf Association of Philadelphia adopted the parameters of the TEE IT FORWARD initiative for its Spring and Fall Net championships in 2012. It also changed the scoring of both events to a Net Stableford format that year. The TEE IT FORWARD program, a joint venture of the United States Golf Association and PGA of America unveiled in July 2012, encourages golfers to play the course at a length that is aligned with their average driving distance. In the Spring and Fall Net championships, the Golf Association of Philadelphia provides three sets of tee options for those that drive the ball between 200 and 250 yards. The length of the golf course will measure between 5,800-6,400 yards (see chart below). Handicaps for that event, depending on what tee a player selects, will be adjusted using Section 3-5 of the Handicap Manual: Players Competing from Different Tees or Men and Women from Same Tees.
