College Golf Scholarship Seminar set for Nov. 8

  The Golf Association of Philadelphia will conduct its 8th College Golf Scholarship Seminar on Saturday, Nov. 8 at Plymouth Country Club from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

  This free event aims to educate high school student-athletes on golf at the collegiate level. Topics covered include rĂ©sumĂ©s, scholarships, NCAA requirements, recruitment, a college golfer’s schedule and rules of golf education.

  Featured speakers in this year’s presentation are Mac Thayer, founder and executive director of Junior Golf Scoreboard, and Matt Davis, an assistant golf professional at Indian Valley Country Club, who also serves as the women’s golf coach at Delaware Valley College.

  Registration begins at 9 a.m. the day of the seminar. Download and complete the entry form and return it to the GAP Offices by Nov. 5.
