Association names Manos Director of Course Rating

  John Manos joins the Golf Association of Philadelphia staff as the organization’s Director of Course Rating.

  Manos, 24, replaces Cory Reighard, who now serves as Director of Competitions for the Pennsylvania Golf Association.

  â€śI’m excited to be joining a staff with such knowledgeable and experienced people,” Manos, of West Chester, Pa. said. “I look forward to getting out on the golf course and rating some of the most historic and prestigious clubs in the country.”

  Prior to joining GAP, Manos worked in the Major League Soccer (MLS) League Office as a member of its Special Events team. In that role, he helped coordinate and execute all aspects of the league’s marquee events, including the MLS Cup and MLS SuperDraft. Manos also worked for the Brooklyn Nets and Metropolitan Golf Association. He served as a USGA P.J. Boatwright Intern for the latter’s MGA Foundation and also played a role in its communications and championships departments.

  Manos holds a B.S. in Marketing from Centenary College, where he was a two-year captain of the golf team. He earned a M.S. from Columbia University in Sports Management.
