A Walk Through Time

GAP is the oldest state or regional golf association in the country. It started courtesy of a friendly competition – the Team Matches – and has grown into the preeminent golf association in the country. Along the way, golf history has been made.


BMW to make donation for GAP Team Matches Playoff ace

  BMW of North America and the Delaware Valley BMW Centers are generously offering a $25,000 donation to the J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust for a Hole-in-One during the BMW GAP Team Matches Playoff. The first player to record an ace on the designated BMW GAP Team Matches Playoff hole will add scholarship dollars to Philadelphia’s true golf charity. The J. Wood Platt Caddie Scholarship Trust, founded in 1958, has awarded college scholarships to in excess of 3,350 deserving golf caddies and more than $18 million.
