A Walk Through Time

GAP is the oldest state or regional golf association in the country. It started courtesy of a friendly competition – the Team Matches – and has grown into the preeminent golf association in the country. Along the way, golf history has been made.

Post your scores; handicap season is active

  It’s not an April Fool’s joke.

  The Golf Association of Philadelphia’s 2015 season officially opens April 1. That means you can now post scores from courses in the Philadelphia region to your handicap record. The Association will revise handicaps on the 1st and 15th of each month.

  Scores can be posted straight from your iPhone or Android thanks to the GAP App. Search “gapgolf” in the App Store or Google Play to download the newest version, which was released this week.

  Founded in 1897, the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) is the oldest regional golf association in the United States and serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. Its 150 Member Clubs and 57,000 individual members are spread across parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. As Philadelphia’s Most Trusted Source of Golf Information, the Golf Association of Philadelphia’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
