St. Davids Golf Club will host the 32nd Middle-Amateur Championship May 20-21.

Middle-Amateur Championship registration opens

  It seems fitting that news regarding the Golf Association of Philadelphia's first Major of 2015 breaks the day after the region's last major snowstorm of the year.

  Registration for the Middle-Amateur Championship opens today. The event's 32nd edition will take place May 20-21 at St. Davids Golf Club in Wayne, Pa. Qualifying sites include Five Ponds Golf Club (Saturday, April 18), Galloway National Golf Club (Thursday, April 30) and Meadowlands Country Club (Monday, May 4).

  The Middle-Amateur Championship is open to golfers 25 years of age and older with a GAP/USGA Handicap Index of 7.0 or lower. It is a two-day, 36-hole stroke play event.
