Hurricane Joaquin cripples 27th Senior Challenge Matches

Damage caused by Hurricane Joaquin forced officials to reschedule the 27th Senior Challenge Matches at Cripple Creek Golf & Country Club in Dagsboro, Del. The event will take place Tuesday, Oct. 27.

The Senior Challenge Matches features eight seniors from four associations — Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Philadelphia — competing in 18 holes of stroke play. The top six scores from each count toward the team total.

A year ago, the Association fell by two strokes to Maryland at Manasquan River Golf Club. It holds 13 titles, an event record.
