Better-ball of partners

All Winter Series events feature a shotgun start and an individual net Stableford scoring format. The event at Whitford, however, is better-ball of partners.

Registration is $40 per person per event, plus a $35 cart fee for each event. Entrants are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Field size for each event is determined by the host facility.

The Winter Series also features a Players of the Year competition determined by a points system. Categories include Amateur Gross, Amateur Net, Senior Gross and Senior Net.

The second set of Winter Series events, for the spring portion, will be released in early 2016.

The Winter Series, launched in 2008, offers all players of any skill level an opportunity to compete in tournament golf during the normally quiet, off-season months. Events are open to all Golf Association of Philadelphia Members, 18 years of age and older, Philadelphia Section of PGA Members and Golf Professionals at Member Clubs.
