Player's Dinner recognizes 2016 Champions, HOF inductees

  The Golf Association of Philadelphia formally acknowledged its 2016 tournament winners during the organization’s 12th Player’s Dinner at White Manor Country Club.

  The event featured an awards presentation and Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The 2016 Players of the Year — Huntingdon Valley Country Club’s Jeff Osberg (William Hyndman, III Player of the Year), White Manor Country Club’s Don Donatoni (Super Senior), LedgeRock Golf Club’s Chip Lutz (Senior) and RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve's Marty McGuckin (Junior) — received their respective awards.

  Huntingdon Valley's David Brookreson, a 15-time GAP Major Champion and three-time Player of the Year, along with A.H. Smith, another HVCC product and first Philadelphia Amateur champion, became the 13th and 14th inductees to enter into the Association's Hall of Fame.

  Teams from Little Mill Country Club were also recognized for their victories in the BMW GAP Team Matches and Philadelphia Team Championship.

  All Silver Cross Award victors; the Harry Hammond Award winner; the Junior Sportsperson of the Year and Winter Series Players of the Year were all recognized.
