Lehigh to host 28th Senior Challenge Matches Oct. 5

The Golf Association of Philadelphia will bear the “defending champions” moniker when it competes in the 28th Senior Challenge Matches Oct. 5 at Lehigh Country Club.

| History | Roster | Year-by-Year |

The Senior Challenge Matches features eight seniors from four associations — Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Philadelphia — competing in 18 holes of stroke play. The top six scores from each count toward the team total.

The event’s portrayed a clash between the Association and Maryland over the last three years. In 2013, the GAP team defeated its southern counterparts in a seventh-score tiebreaker. Maryland prevailed by two strokes the following year at Manasquan River Golf Club. The Association reclaimed the trophy a year ago by a posting a nine-stroke margin of victory a year ago.

Six newcomers will represent Team GAP in this year’s affair. Below is a look at the full roster.
