GAP Magazine follow-up: Another ace for West Chester's Pitt family

The Golf Association of Philadelphia Magazine’s Fall 2015 issue featured the Pitt family’s unthinkable achievement at West Chester Golf & Country Club, their home course. Father Mike, 49, and sons Evan, 20, and Liam, 15, carded aces within a week of each other.

Turns out Mike didn’t depart the hole-in-one department; he scored an ace on West Chester’s 18th hole (also No. 9) on Oct. 6, 2015. He hit a 7-iron on the 145-yard par 3 that featured a front left hole location that day. Pitt and his playing partners speculated that his golf ball tracked toward the flagstick. Pitt’s brother Terry, who witnessed Mike’s previous ace on Aug. 13, checked the cup and announced an ace.

â€œI sent a text to Evan, Liam and my wife Nancy: ‘You’re not going to believe it
another hole-in-one,’” Pitt said. “People keep asking me about [the holes-in-one]. The crazy thing is I’m really not hitting the ball well. I’m hitting some lucky shots.”
