10th College Golf Seminar set for Nov. 10The Philadelphia region boasts its fair share of collegiate golf talent. Helping Junior golfers reach that next level of golf, and educating them on the process of doing so, is a part of the Golf Association of Philadelphia's job. The Association is proud to announce the 10th College Golf Seminar, hosted by The 1912 Club on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 9 a.m. to noon. Topics to be covered will include résumés, modernized Rules of Golf, scholarships, NCAA requirements, recruitment and a college golfer’s schedule. This free event is open to all high school age golfers, male or female, and aims to educate them on golf at the collegiate level. Parents are welcome to attend. Joining the Association's staff in its presentation will be Brad Kane, former Head Golf Coach at La Salle University & Director of the J. Wood Platt Caddie Operations, and John Manos, the Head Golf Coach at Rosemont College and Director of Course Rating for the Golf Association of Philadelphia. Philadelphia Cricket Club's Cole Berman, an accomplished Georgetown University golfer and two-time GAP Major Champion, is also scheduled to speak. Representing the National Collegiate Club Golf Association will be Tyler Ward, a NCCGA Regional Coordinator and Club President of the University of Delaware team. Registration is now open.
