Popular Parent/Child League continues in 2018Nothing is sweeter than family time and ice cream. At select Golf Association of Philadelphia Parent/Child league events, you can get both. Below is a list of remaining events on the 2018 schedule:
Cost varies and includes a nine-hole cart fee for both players and a nine-hole entry fee for the parent. Children tee it up for free. Each event is open to the first 18 teams that sign up on the GAP website. At least eight teams must register or the event will be cancelled. The format is modified chapman. Both players tee off and then switch balls. The parent plays the child’s drive, and vice-versa. Each player hits his or her second shot. They then select the better of the second shots, and from that point until the ball is holed, they play only one ball in an alternate shot format. All Parent/Child League events feature a 5 p.m. shotgun start. For more information regarding the Parent/Child League, contact the GAP Office at 610-687-2340.
