Winter Series event at Honeybrook cancelled

  The Winter Series event scheduled for Tuesday, March 27 at Honeybrook Golf Club is cancelled due to snow. cover. It will not be rescheduled.

  Those who registered for the event will be issued full refunds. Registration is open for the remaining Golf Association of Philadelphia Winter Series events.

  Cost is $40 per person per event, plus a $35 cart fee per event. Moreover, cost for the better-ball event at Laurel Creek Country Club is $80 per team, plus a $35 per person cart fee. Entrants are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  The Winter Series features a Players of the Year competition, now with six categories: Amateur Gross, Senior Gross, Amateur Net, Senior Net, Women’s Gross and Women’s Net. Participants in the Women’s Division can accrue points during the spring leg to determine the 2017-18 Women’s Gross and Women’s Net recipients.

  The Winter Series is open to all Golf Association of Philadelphia Amateur Members 18 years of age and older, Philadelphia Section of PGA Members and golf professionals at Member Clubs. It began in 2008 as a way to offer players of any skill level an opportunity to compete in tournament golf during the normally quiet, offseason months.
