GAP’s President addresses members of the Association via video
The Golf Association of Philadelphia’s 30th president, Dan Burton of Lititz, Pa., touched on some of the key issues facing amateur golf and the 2007 GAP season in his inaugural presidential video address.
In what was the first of numerous GAP video features to be launched this season, Burton, a member of Bent Creek CC, highlighted various aspects of the amateur golf world including industry trends, the Organization’s efforts in promoting the game, important changes to the 2007 season as well as changes to GAP itself.

Founded in 1897, the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) is the oldest regional golf association in the United States and serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. Its 136 Member Clubs and 60,000 individual members are spread across parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. The purpose of the Association is simple: To promote, protect and preserve the game of golf in the region.
