A Walk Through Time

GAP is the oldest state or regional golf association in the country. It started courtesy of a friendly competition – the Team Matches – and has grown into the preeminent golf association in the country. Along the way, golf history has been made.


Inside Golf Library

  The Golf Association of Philadelphia will be featured in a regular segment on "Inside Golf," a weekly television show that airs on NBC Sports Philadelphia and the Comcast Network. Hosted by longtime KYW Newsradio anchor Harry Donahue, it spotlights public and private golf clubs throughout the region, offers instructional tips and conducts a panel featuring local sports writers, radio and television personalities.

  "Inside Golf" airs on NBC Sports Philadelphia on Sundays at 5:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., Mondays at 4:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 4 p.m. It airs on the Comcast Network on Sundays at 7 p.m.

Golf Association of Philadelphia
Founded in 1897, the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) is the oldest regional golf association in the United States and serves as the principal ruling body of amateur golf in its region. Its 153 Full Member Clubs and 57,000 individual members are spread across parts of Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. As Philadelphia’s Most Trusted Source of Golf Information, the Golf Association of Philadelphia’s mission is to promote, preserve and protect the game of golf.
