The Golf Association of Philadelphia launched a Winter Series in 2008. It offers players of any skill level an opportunity to compete in tournament golf during the normally quiet, offseason months. Events are open to all Golf Association of Philadelphia member, 18 years of age and older, Philadelphia Section of PGA members and golf professionals at GAP Member Clubs.

  The Winter Series also features a Player of the Year competition, which began in the fall of 2010. It is determined via a points system. Categories include Amateur Gross, Amateur Net, Senior Gross and Senior Net.

  Given a growth in popularity, the Association expanded the Winter Series schedule from four to six events, starting in the spring of 2013. Registration for all Winter Series events is available exclusively on the Association’s Web site.
