Championships – The Golf Association of Philadelphia conducts more than 50 tournaments and events per year for every age group and skill level. A member is eligible for a tournament based on his respective handicap. Age group categories include Amateur, Senior, Super Senior and Junior. Tournament skill levels are defined as Gross and Net. GAP Team Matches – Nothing matches the scale of the GAP Team Matches. On three Sundays in April over 3,700 players representing a record 300-plus teams from more than 120 member clubs will engage in inter-club competition. The Interclub Matches, as they were originally called, served as the basis for the founding of the Association, and today, just like then, serves as a source of club pride. GAP Team Matches are only open to Golf Association of Philadelphia members.

Handicap Administration – The Golf Association of Philadelphia has provided handicaps for its members since the USGA created a centralized service in 1964. The GAP is affiliated with the Golf Handicap and Information Network, known as GHIN, the nationwide service provided by the USGA. A GAP/USGA Handicap Index allows for equitable competition amongst players of all skill levels.

  • Erevisions – Get your GAP/GHIN Handicap in a click by signing up for the Association’s eRevision service. All Members are eligible and can easily take advantage of this benefit by getting on-line at www.gapgolf.org and logging into you’re My GAP Locker; clicking on the subscriptions tab and then checking yes for eRevision emails. eRevisions are delivered automatically to your email on the Revision day.

  • On-line score posting – Individuals can maintain their handicap on-line from anywhere in the world through their My GAP Locker account.

My GAP Locker – A quick and easily accessible Web portal available at www.gapgolf.org to subscribe to the Golf Association of Philadelphia Magazine and/or Golf Digest; view your current GHIN Index or tournament registrations; post scores for handicap purposes; view your Golf Association of Philadelphia tournament scoring histories as well as recent Platt Caddie Scholarship contributions.

Seminars – The Golf Association of Philadelphia offers various seminars, including those on the Rules of Golf, to its members. Other seminars include: the Presidents Council, for issues affecting clubs, and the College Golf Seminar, for junior golfers searching for information on college golf.

Golf Association of Philadelphia Magazine – The Golf Association of Philadelphia Magazine is the official publication of the Golf Association of Philadelphia. The Golf Association of Philadelphia Magazine provides extensive features and tournament coverage along with news and notes from the game of golf in the Philadelphia area. Published four times a year in conjunction with the Association, Individual Members of the organization are eligible to receive a complimentary copy of the magazine by contacting the Golf Office.

  • Golf Digest – All Golf Association of Philadelphia Magazine subscribers are also eligible to receive a complimentary Golf Digest subscription. We, at the Golf Association of Philadelphia, strive to help our members increase the enjoyment of the game while perfecting their skills. And because of the GAP's new partnership with Golf Digest Publications, you can do just that, compliments of the Association.

USGA Museum 2-for-1 admission – The USGA Museum and Arnold Palmer Center for Golf History in Far Hills (Somerset County), N.J., has extended a special buy-one-admission, get-one-free offer to all Golf Association of Philadelphia members who would like to visit the Museum. In addition to the 2-for-1 offer on admission, Golf Association of Philadelphia members will also receive a 10 percent discount in the gift shop. To take advantage of this offer, simply present your Golf Association of Philadelphia Membership Card or print the Museum ad and/or story from the Web site.
