A Walk Through Time

GAP is the oldest state or regional golf association in the country. It started courtesy of a friendly competition – the Team Matches – and has grown into the preeminent golf association in the country. Along the way, golf history has been made.

Course Marking Seminar

Learn more about marking your golf course

The Golf Association of Philadelphia presented a Course Marking Seminar for club professionals, superintendents and key club members on March 27, 2017 at RiverCrest Golf Club & Preserve. Kirby Martin, GAP Director of Competitions, served as the event’s instructor.

During the event, participants enjoyed a continental breakfast and luncheon and received a complimentary copy of the 2016-2017 Decisions on the Rules of Golf.

The Course Marking Seminar is open to those interested in learning more about the Rules of Golf and course marking. It marks another avenue through which the Association fulfills its longstanding mission: to preserve, protect and promote the game of golf throughout the region.


GCSAA members are approved for .35 CEU’s [the equivalent of 3.5 hours of education].
